Service Level Technician III - Mobile Crew - Sulphur, OK-$21/hr

The Caterpillar Global Power Systems Division, Oil & Gas, has an exciting opportunity for a Service Technician III, located inSulphur, OK. In this position, you will provide rebuild and re-certification services for high pressure flow iron products.

JOb Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are limited to:

  • Create and review work orders

  • Assist with material check in / out

  • Disassemble, clean, recondition, inspect, assemble, test and paint service components

  • Provide guidance to service technicians on work flow, assignments and prioritization.

  • Visually inspect entire component for all indications of potential failure points.

  • Assist customers with certification documentation, iron loading, or any other service requests.

  • Participate in additional routine duties involving general housekeeping, non-standard service activities and any other service needs.

  • Remove and installation of components by following the appropriate service manual.

  • Determine which parts are reusable using pertinent Service or Parts information

  • Demonstrate proper use of available diagnostic equipment and special tools.

  • Understand and utilize exchange components when appropriate.

  • Familiarity with various exchange items offered by Kemper and evaluate price of exchange vs. cost of repair.

  • Documenting the work done on the equipment on the computer and utilizing Kemper specific service report software.

  • Complete work assignments within allotted time and secure and maintain appropriate licensing.

  • Reach and use the arms with a full range of motion to retrieve stocked parts

  • Endure prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching and squatting while performing mechanical operations

  • Exert push and pull forces with the arms to use various wrenches and tools

  • Endure prolonged forward and overhead arm positions while performing mechanical operations

  • Use the hands to grasp hand tools and parts and climb onto and operate equipment.

This is full time position located in Sulphur, OK

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2-year experience with servicing high pressure flow iron

  • Technical training of equipment required.

  • The candidate must have basic computer skills.

  • Must comply with all safety and company regulations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

TOP CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE

  • Associate s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.

  • ASNT Level I/II inspector in Magnetic Particle/Ultrasonic Testing

  • Fork lift driver license

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.

  • Dependable form of transportation

  • Valid CDL license is a plus

  • Prior experience with Kemper equipment is preferred.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Maintains good work habits and presents a favorable business image towards customers served by the company.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Mobile crew position based out of Sulphur, OK.
  • 80-95% travel.
  • Additional $4/hour premium pay and a daily per diem.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
