Position Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Banquet Manager with all banquet functions. The Captain is responsible for adhering to all Traditions Spirits' √ā¬ standard operating procedures.


NOTE: Traditions Spirits, Inc. ¬ may change the requirements of this job description at any time. These include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Embodies Traditions Spirits Mission, Vision, and Core Values

  • Coordinate all aspects of the room/facilities set-up and food and beverage service so that all efforts are directed toward guest satisfaction.

  • Familiarization with banquet's standard operating procedures and adhering to these guidelines

  • Prompt and accurate completion of assigned projects

  • Establish and maintain customer contact at all functions

  • Establish communication with the Executive and Banquet Chef

  • Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner, maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction

  • Ensure that staff has been scheduled to adequately serve the needs of the guests

  • Must have the ability to multi-task


NOTE: These include, but are not limited to the following (additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary):

  • Communicates with the Banquet Manager regarding Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)

  • Maintains contact with the Chef to ensure complete, effective communication between food production and food service

  • Inspects the room for assigned functions, making certain that every detail conforms with the BEO

  • Be observant of any and all safety concerns surrounding your work area

  • Follow all health standards and guidelines established

  • Superior attendance and punctuality

  • Holds self to higher standard, being a role model at all times

  • Attendance at mandatory meetings, training, workshops and/or seminars

  • Create and support an environment of "Teamwork" by helping a fellow employee or guest, without a second thought

  • Adheres to organization policies and procedures

  • Clothing should always be "onstage clean" and professional


  • Must have previous banquet and management experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must possess or be able to obtain an Oklahoma Liquor License

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Mature judgment and professionalism in handling all matters

  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing

  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized

  • Must possess a commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge


  • Standing during entire event

  • Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries and pushes

  • Exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures

  • Moderate to high exposure to cigarette smoke when on the casino floor

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
