PATIENT CARE LIAISON
Arbuckle Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
Boasting a new hospital in 2011, AMH has a 24-hour emergency room, which is staffed by ER physicians and designated as a Level IV Trauma Center.
The hospital serves over 12,000 patients annually.
AMH treats over 7,000 emergencies each year including heart attack and stroke patients.
The hospital has four admitting physicians including three employed physicians and a contractor.
Additionally, AMH operates a full-service clinic on campus, which as 15 exam rooms, two physicians, and three nurse practitioners.
Clinic hours are 7am to 7pm, Monday to Thursday and 7am to 5pm on Friday.
The hospital is supported by a one cent county sales tax.

Summary:
Worksunder the direction of the outpatient registered nurse.
Assist in schedulingand coordination of outpatient services.
Assist the outpatient licensed nurse in providing treatments andprocedures.
Works closely with Quality Director to collect, compile and reportquality, infection control, and risk initiatives.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent GED Must have basic clerical skills, typing, filing,and ability to communicate with the public, patients, doctors, nurses, andcoworkers in a courteous and professional manner Ability to maintain composure when faced withdifficult situations Ability to work with computers, electronicdevices, telephones, and fax machines Must possess the ability to do multiple tasksimultaneously Maintain discretion and confidentiality in dailywork and communications Knowledge of patient care standards and use ofmedical equipment Knowledge of Infection Control and Preventionpractices Knowledge of Quality Improvement Practices Direct patient care PREFERREDQUAILFICATIONS:

Ability to communicate with patients, visitors,and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner Facilitate patients with logistics of outpatientprocedures in various departments throughout the hospital Answer outpatient services telephone in aprofessional and courteous manner Answer outpatient services faxes and route themto the appropriate outpatient services provider Assist in the coordination and scheduling ofoutpatient services Assist in performing outpatient EKGs, vitalsigns, and patient personal care needs as assigned Assist in outpatient clinics as assigned bysupervisor Data Entry as assigned Obtain preauthorization for outpatientprocedures Accurate posting of outpatient charges Perform endoscopy scope disinfection accordingto manufactures recommendations and hospital policy Transports patients and equipment asappropriate Provide for patient's personal hygiene andcomfort needs Schedule and track and maintain employee healthrecords Track and report out Quality measures Other duties as assigned by Quality/InfectionControl Nurse Miscellaneous duties as assigned, requested, orrequired EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma/GED Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Licensed Practical Nurse preferred but notrequired LANGUAGE/READINGSKILLS:

WORK ENVRIONMENT:
